About me
Hello!
Hi, I’m Dorcas — but most people call me Dora.
And I’m the person behind Outdoora.
Outdoora is a small, independent travel company — and for now, it’s just me behind it. From designing the journeys and finding the trails to organising the practical details and guiding the trips myself.
That’s exactly how I want it.
I’ve always felt most at home outdoors. I studied ecology, have lived in Macedonia for a while, and have spent years working and guiding in some of Europe’s wildest places, including Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
But somewhere along the way, I realised that what I love most isn’t simply being in beautiful places.
It’s sharing them with people.
I love the energy of a group, especially a group of women. There is something special about bringing people together who don’t know each other yet.
At the start of a trip, there is often that little bit of uncertainty.
Who will be there? Will we get along? What will this week be like?
And then, somewhere along the way, something happens.
You walk together. You struggle together. You laugh until your stomach hurts. You share stories over dinner. Sometimes it’s loud and full of energy, sometimes it’s quiet and emotional.
And before you know it, a group of strangers has become a group of friends.
That is what I love most about travelling.....
Why Outdoora?
I created Outdoora because I wanted to create the kind of adventures I love myself: small-scale, active and personal, with plenty of space for nature, discovery and real connection.
I have no ambition to build a huge travel company.
I want to keep Outdoora small enough to know the women who join my trips, to maintain a high level of quality, and — most importantly — to be there myself.
Because guiding is my favourite part of the job.
The planning, logistics and everything behind the scenes are important, of course. But the real magic happens out there: on the trail, around the campfire, at the dinner table, or while watching the sun disappear behind a mountain.
That’s where I want to be.
Exploring. Guiding. Connecting. And creating adventures that stay with you long after you return home.
Welcome to Outdoora.
