The Journey

DAY 1 — TIRANA TO THETH

From city life to the Albanian Alps

We leave Tirana behind and travel north into the spectacular Albanian Alps. After lunch at a local agriturismo, we continue to Theth National Park and take an easy walk to Grunasi Waterfall, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

As the road climbs higher, the landscape changes from city to remote mountain valley — and the Balkan adventure begins.

DAY 2 — THETH - Blue Eye

A full day in the Albanian Alps

Today we explore Theth National Park on foot, following mountain trails through forests, valleys and spectacular alpine scenery towards the famous Blue Eye of Theth.

It's a full day in nature, combining hiking, mountain landscapes and one of Albania's most remarkable natural highlights.

DAY 3 — SHKODËR & SHIROKË

Culture, history and lake views

We leave the Albanian Alps behind and head to Shkodër, one of Albania’s oldest and most atmospheric cities. After exploring the city, we hop on bikes for a relaxed ride to Shirokë on the shores of Lake Shkodër, combining local culture with beautiful lakeside scenery.

Bike ride: approx. 14 km return | almost no elevation

DAY 4 — LAKE KOMANI

A journey through wild beauty

Today we travel through the dramatic landscape of Lake Koman, one of Albania’s most spectacular natural destinations. Surrounded by steep cliffs and remote mountain valleys, the journey by boat offers a completely different perspective on the Albanian landscape.

The ferry ride itself becomes part of the adventure as we travel deeper into this remote corner of northern Albania.

Overnight: Shkodër

DAY 5 — BERAT

Mountains, culture & the city of Berat

We leave Shkodër behind and head south towards Berat, with a few special stops along the way.

Our first stop is Belsh Lake, where we take in the peaceful scenery before continuing to one of Albania’s beautiful local wineries. There’s time to taste some of the region’s wines and enjoy a relaxed lunch along the way.

Arriving in Berat, we explore the city on a guided walking tour, taking in its historic streets and unique Ottoman architecture. We’ll also visit Berat Castle, perched high above the city with beautiful views across the valley.

A day of lakes, wine and history — and a completely different side of Albania.

Overnight: Berat

From mountain trails to ancient streets — one day, two very different sides of Albania.

DAY 6 — CANYONS & WATERFALLS

Hiking, nature and swimming

Today we head into the spectacular Osum Canyon, following the turquoise river through dramatic limestone cliffs and wild mountain scenery.
